Teenager Arrested Over Mass College Bomb Hoax After a huge bomb hoax shut down hundreds of schools and colleges across the UK, a teenager believed to be at the center of an Minecraft gamers feud was arrested. Hertfordshire police detained the 19-year-old after 24,000 threats to schools were warned of a bomb attack , and soliciting money. The emails were faked to look as if they had been sent by a gaming network known as VeltPvP. VeltPvP is a Minecraft player-versus-player server of the type that businesses use to sell products to gamers. Hertfordshire police arrested the 19-year-old after 24,000 emails were sent out to schools warning of the threat of attack. The emails were designed to cause the domain to be shut down for abuse . They are thought to be sent by an organisation that was trying to undermine VeltPvP. The National Crime Agency (NCA) stated that there was no credible threat to the emails' that were received this week. Now two MORE Beasts are headed for the East bringing... Advertisers warn Facebook that Facebook is not doing enough The statement read"We understand teachers and parents concerns, but we want to stress that there was no threat of serious consequence to the schools' emails. "However, we take the communication seriously. Since this is a live investigation we cannot comment further.' Signs were put up on the outside of Cardinal Road School in Feltham after the hoax email bombings. The dispute was based on the belief that rivals were involved in illegal activities to stop one another from doing business. Minecraft pixelmon servers When asked if he regretted the effects the letters had on the school children who were forced to evacuate, one of the hoaxers responded, "It is terrible, it's not the best thing." Placing the blame on VeltPvP, the hoaxer said VeltPvP was involved in a series of Direct Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks - which he claims were used to attempt to stop other competitors' Minecraft servers. Parents were asked to pick up their children following the threat of a bomb hoax email In an official statement, VeltPvP said: 'We've been targeted by cybercriminals who are trying to intimidate us in any way that they can. We're sorry for everyone who had to deal with this, but just know it's fake.' Minecraft pixelmon servers More than 400 schools and colleges across the nation received the email which claimed a bomb had been planted and was set to explode if cash wasn't handed over. Cardinal Road School in Feltham West London, was among the schools who received the hoax email Police forces from London, Bristol, Liverpool and Bedfordshire were among those who investigated. Parents at some schools requested to be able to pick up their children amid fears over the emails. Six schools across Hertfordshire were also affected: Abbots Hill in Hemel Hempstead, Valley School in Stevenage, The Sele School in Hertford, Duncombe School in Hertford, Stanborough School in Watford and St Albans High School.
